Mis líneas de investigación se enfocan en el análisis del comportamiento de productores agrícolas en la toma de decisiones referida a la innovación, la adaptación al cambio climático a la respuesta a los incentivos de derivados de políticas públicas de conservación. Específicamente, en mis trabajos recientes he abordado los aspectos sociológicos (capital social y redes), sicológicos y económicos con el fin de entender que motiva o limita a los productores a innovar. Este mismo enfoque lo he utilizado para analizar la vulnerabilidad de los productores al cambio climático y su capacidad de adaptación. Por otro lado, una parte importante de mis investigaciones se relacionan con el análisis de las políticas públicas de conservación de recursos naturales, donde interesa entender en qué medida distintos tipos de incentivos (i.e. subsidios, capacitación) generan cambios en el comportamiento de los productores. Mi proyecto más reciente estudia la gobernanza y acciones colectivas en la distribución de recursos hídricos en Chile. Soy subdirectora del Núcleo Milenio Centro para el Impacto Socioeconómico de las Políticas Ambientales (CESIEP).
